Update: Bruce & Shay in New Zealand!
Greetings from Fatherheart Ministries’ Inheriting the Nations School in New Zealand! Shay and I arrived just over two weeks ago with eager expectation about what God was planning to do with us here.
The school is being held at the Orama Oasis Center on the remote Great Barrier Island which lies off the coast from the NZ capital of Auckland. We are living at Orama within a community of over 75 people from 16 different nations including Norway, Finland, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA and more!
It has been incredible to be on this journey deeper into the love of the Father with brothers and sisters from all over the world. We may have different languages, cultures and customs, but we all share a desire to know and experience the love of God in a deeply personal and intimate way.
Our weekday mornings are filled with teaching and most afternoons we are free to spend time with the Father in whatever way we feel led. Shay and I have been spending our free time hiking in the beautiful hills and mountains, walking the coastline and beaches, and generally enjoying our beautiful surroundings. The views are stunning, the foliage is lush, and the water is clear and crisp – all proclaiming the glory of God our Father and Creator.
Each week features a different speaker/teacher from the Fatherheart family. James Jordan, the Founder of Fatherheart Ministries, will be coming to talk with us soon.

This past week we have been delighted to have Leonard Hays with us. Leonard should be familiar to many back home as the primary speaker at the Fatherheart ‘A’ School that we at Healing Spring hosted in May.
He was also at the two-day Fatherheart event we held in Queensbury last fall. Leonard taught, challenged and encouraged us while also sharing his incredible testimonies of how God has led him deeper and deeper into his true identity as a son of our loving Father.

It is too early yet to begin to reflect on how God has been working in our hearts. We still have nine weeks to go! But we are finding that God is already speaking to us in amazing and unexpected ways. Orama is a very special place where the distance between heaven and earth seems surprisingly ‘thin’. We are encountering a God who longs for intimacy with his sons and daughters, and who continually speaks to His children even through the most seemingly mundane of circumstances. What a wonderful God and Father we have! Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ and the glorious Holy Spirit!
