A Special Request From Healing Spring – 12/22/15
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is hard to believe that 2016 will be Healing Spring’s fifth year of ministry. As we reflect on all that God has done, we are filled with a deep sense of gratitude and amazement.
Since our launch in January 2012, we have had the joy and privilege of training over 100 people in the healing and prophetic ministry. Many of our students, who come from a wide range of denominational and non-denominational backgrounds, now play an active role in the ongoing ministry of Healing Spring. In February of 2014, God gave us the go-ahead to launch twice monthly healing prayer ministry nights, and since then we have been able to pray for nearly 90 different people (many of whom have received prayer over multiple sessions).
While the depth of people’s pain and suffering is often heartbreaking, we have witnessed incredible healings and have seen many people’s lives radically transformed by the healing love and power of Jesus. (We are excited to share some of these stories of healing with you over the course of 2016.) Demand for prayer continues to remain very high, and we are scheduling appointments several months in advance.
Having established a strong foundation, God is now calling us to further “expand our territory” for the Kingdom (1 Chronicles 4:10). Here are some of our plans for 2016 and beyond:
- Increase our ability to pray for those in need by adding additional prayer ministry hours and introducing three-hour intensive Restoring the Foundations Issue Focused Ministry (IFM).
- Formally establish a Healing Spring office in Glens Falls (and get the file cabinets out of the Masons’ garage!)
- Bless our local community by holding additional teaching and ministry events each year, bringing in prominent Christian ministry leaders, teachers and musicians. As we write this, we are in the process of planning a spring event that will once again feature Jeremy and Connie Sinnott of Catch the Fire, building off of last year’s successful “In His Presence” weekend.
- Launch a teaching series on topics related to healing and wellness geared towards local healing professionals (as well as churches and the general public.)
- Greatly expand our online presence by offering teachings and online courses (such as our Level I and Level II prayer training) that can reach a wider audience.
- Continue to lay the foundations for Healing Spring-led local and international healing missions.
Healing Spring was birthed through a leap of faith – and God has proven Himself time and time again to be amazingly faithful. He has provided for our every need and, in so doing, has empowered us to share His healing love with those who are hurting and broken.
Although we have never sought to formally raise funds for this ministry, many have come to us to ask how they might be able to financially support the work of Healing Spring. We are deeply humbled that people would choose to support us, and we are always excited to have people partner with us in all that God is doing through Healing Spring.
Therefore, we feel led to ask you: Would you be willing to partner with us in ministry through a financial gift to Healing Spring? Together we can work to fulfill all that God is calling us to accomplish for the glory of His Kingdom. And this is really the heart of all we seek to do. Our heart – our longing – is simply to honor and glorify God and His Kingdom. In everything we do, we want His Name to be exalted! Will you join us?
If you are able to financially support the ministry of Healing Spring, there are several ways to give.* First, you can give online here. Our online donation form gives you the option of making a one-time gift, or to set up recurring gifts, by credit card or direct debit. Or, you can send a donation to us by check via the mail to:
